ACUPUNCTURE

As of April 1st, 2008, acupuncture performed by registered acupuncturists in B.C. are covered under the Medical Services Plan(MSP) premium-assistance program. Those who make less than $28,000 per year are eligible to have $23 covered for up to 10 visits. Please see news release.

Since 1996, acupuncture became a recognized profession governed by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA), a self regulatory body that operates under the auspices of the B.C. provincial government and the Health Professions Act.
